OXFORD’S COVID-19 VACCINE ChAdOx1:
The scientist in the oxford university found this vaccine AZD1222 from a genetically engineered adenovirus that causes the common cold in the chimpanzee. We may know that humans are the close relatives of the generation of chimpanzees that we evolved from the monkey species. This virus is well modified and mimic like the coronavirus that attacks human, however, it will not be harmful to humans.
The scientist prepared this vaccine model by transferring the genetic instructions of the coronavirus, the ‘spike protein’, this is a crucial tool of genetic engineering that invade the human cell to a vaccine. Almost around 90% of this vaccine dead cell virus resembles the coronavirus and makes the immune power on its own.
Later on, the scientist of oxford tested this vaccine on the monkeys (oxford COVID vaccine on monkey ) and they showed very promising results. The researchers who are all involved in the trails of the vaccine ChAdOx1 said that the volunteers who were vaccinated by this vaccine chadox1 showed the signs of rhesus macaque monkey’s immune system to resist the deadly coronavirus and did not show any inauspicious indications.
Recently, the researchers of Britain's Pirbright institute revealed that the study of the oxford coronavirus vaccine in pigs with the double dosage showed better results than the one dosage.
The first phase is conducted in April, overall 1,102 volunteers were been vaccinated in the region of the UK. On may end oxford vaccine trials committee announced that 1000 immunizations have been completed and all proceeded up to the next level.
In June, Adrian hill, the director of Jenner institute at the oxford university stated that the clinical trials will end up in august and September and the vaccine will be commercialized from October.
The oxford COVID vaccine trails are fore forth among all the countries all over the world and started their upcoming trails of phases 2 and 3 combined with the UK, Brazil, and South Africa.
AstraZeneca, the famous company to produce vaccine has been signed up to produce 400million doses for US and 100million for the UK if the oxford vaccine clinical trials have been successfully completed.
WHO’S PREDICTION
The WHO stated that moreover two dozen experimental vaccines were tested on humans and more than 160 vaccine discovery is in the earlier stages of development.
